"Singapore shines with world class music and arts" - Channel News Asia
Pop/R&B artist, Yuna has spent the last year in the studio writing and working on her fourth full-length album, set for release this year via Independently Popular/Verve. With her latest album, Chapters boasting the chart-topping single “Crush” feat. Usher and the heart-wrenching masterpiece “I Used To Love You” feat. Jhene Aiko, Yuna has paved a lane of her own – pulling influence from R&B, pop and jazz to develop a distinctive genre-transcending sound.
Having begun penning original music at the age of 19, Yuna was still in her teens when early buzz on social media turned her into a household-name, award-winning superstar in Malaysia. Shortly thereafter in 2012, she made an international breakthrough with her uplifting yet haunting Pharrell-produced hit, “Live Your Life” from her debut self-titled EP. Yuna has since seen great global success with her three studio albums and become an ubiquitous presence in popular culture – from the inclusion of her Beatle’s cover in the Oliver Stone film Savages to soundtracking commercials for H&M and appearing in a Barneys ad campaign shot by famed photographer Bruce Weber. With her next album on the way, Yuna is slated to have an amazing 2019.
