"Singapore shines with world class music and arts" - Channel News Asia
Hugely influential dub-reggae producer Mad Professor brings his legendary live show to Singapore for the first time. Guyana-born Neil Joseph Stephen Fraser, better known as Mad Professor, is a bona fide legend of dub music, having championed and pushed the boundaries of the genre around the world for more than 35 years. Perhaps best known for 1995’s No Protection, a dubbed-up interpretation of Massive Attack’s landmark Protection album, Mad Professor has worked with a startlingly eclectic roster of artists over the years, remixing tracks by everyone from The Orb, Beastie Boys and Depeche Mode to Sade, Jamiroquai and Rancid. He is also a frequent collaborator of reggae stars such as Lee “Scratch” Perry, Pato Banton and Sly and Robbie, while his output includes hundreds of original recordings, including his most recent solo album, 2014’s Dubbing With Anansi. For Singapore’s dub-heads it doesn’t get better than this. Prepare to be schooled by a master.
